Our Values
We uphold our values through our social and environmental policies
Southridge Solutions believes that it is the responsibility of a good corporate
citizen to demonstrate leadership and strong values through their work and
through a positive influence on the community. You may also discover that
many of these efforts actually improve our delivery of service and cost
effectiveness.
Our natural environment:
We strive to minimise our environmental footprint, and to enable our clients
to do the same. The streamlining of processes and the reduction in printing
that we can deliver makes good business sense by increasing efficiency and
lowering costs; and good environmental sense in greatly reduced waste products
(paper, ink and their manufacturing bi-products). For example: a single
interactive CD can deliver a 1000 page document complete with illustrations;
it can be updated and replaced with little cost and waste; it is far cheaper
to produce and deliver, easier to use, and requires far less storage space
(and eventual landfill). We also use, and encourage clients to use, recycled
paper products whenever possible.
Teambuilding, fundraising and
fitness:
Charities often organise sporting events to raise funds for worthwhile causes.
We see these as a great opportunity to make a contribution whilst keeping
our staff healthy, fostering their teamwork and giving them a real sense
of achievement. Our staff have been involved in such activities as Oxfam
Community Aid Abroad’s 100km ‘Walk Against Want’
which raises money for their charity and encourages healthy living.
Support for families and community
volunteers:
Our family friendly policy gives staff flexibility in determining their
hours. This increases their morale and motivation and minimises unexpected
downtime. When we need long hours from our staff, their families are supportive
in return.
We also support our staff in volunteer rescue organisations, as military
reservists, and in general volunteer work benefiting the community. Our
team then bring these skills and positive attitude into the office.
Pro Bono work for non-profit organisations and charities:
We donate our own time to pro bono work for non-profit organisations, and
one of our web-hosting plans is a cost effective solution specifically tailored
for verified non-profit community based organisations.
